Summary
Based on the bestselling novel by Neil Gaiman, "Stardust" tells an amazing adventure
that begins in a village in England and ends up in a magical world.
In a countryside town, a young man named Tristan (Charlie Cox)
makes a promise to the village beauty, Victoria (Sienna Miller),
that he'll retrieve a fallen star by venturing into the magical and forbidden realm.
When Tristan finds the star, he is stunned to discover that it is not a mass of meteoric rock, but
instead an angry, injured girl named Yvaine (Claire Danes), who has no desire to be dragged
across the world. In addition, Tristan is not the only one seeking the star. The four sons of a dying
king (Peter O'Toole), as well as the ghosts of their three dead brothers, all need the star
as they vie for the throne. Three evil witches, led by Lamia (Michelle Pfeiffer) also seek the star's heart
to make them young again.
This film is rated PG-13 for some fantasy violence and risque humor.
